Nexus 6P battery drain and shuts down way to quickly

Just to add to the growing numbers of unhappy Nexus 6P owners who are quit happy with their phones but are frustrated at the changes in the battery behavior. All has been documented plenty, what is not being told enough is how Google is letting loyal customers who feel left behind while ignoring this very common issue now. I get it, the Nexus 6P is 2 generations old, but, it is a great piece of equipment and it works fine, and the Pixels are just way too expensive. So, Google, please step up to the plate and do the right thing.

Welcome to Android Central! If you didn't purchase Nexus Protect, and the phone is out of warranty, then unfortunately neither Google nor Huawei has any obligation to do anything for you. Warranties protect the consumer against manufacturer defects, but once the item is out of warranty, those defects are your problem to deal with (unless it poses a physical danger, in which case it would be handled as a manufacturer's recall). This is why I tend to purchase insurance for my devices these days.
