So I took my case off my 6P saturday to put my skin on and I'm finishing the installation process I realized that the frame of the phone is being bent towards the outside. Some quick research and I found out that others were having similar problems in similar parts of the phone. I have not dropped my phone whatsoever and has always been in a case so this is not normal.I called Google who then told me to call Huawei and they told me I had to send the phone in so they can try to fix it or if it wasn't fixable theyd send me a new one. Others with the same problem were saying they just got a replacement straight off Google and they didn't have to get it checked first. Not sure what to do at this point and was wondering if any of you here have had the same or similar problems.

I had the same thing happen. I ordered it through Project Fi. I used the Fi app to have Google call me. Told the guy on the phone what happened and he set it up for a replacement to be sent to me. Process took all of 5 minutes. A day or so later I received a brand new replacement in retail packaging. I put the old one back in the sleeve the replacement came in and sent the entire package back.

It may depend on who/where you bought it from.

did you buy it from Google or Huawei? If you got it from Google and they said to contact Huawei, you for a CSR that probably doesn't know what he/she is talking about and gave you bad information. I'd call them back and ask to a manager if somebody tells you to contact Huawei. And do you have Nexus Protect?

Yea the guy from Huawei didn't seem very knowledgeable. I contacted Google again through live chat and the guy That helped me didn't hesitate whatsoever. Didn't even ask for pictures. Replacement is on the way. I guess it depends on who you get.

I took my phone out of its case today to clean it and I noticed mine was creased exactly like the original posts photo. I managed to push the crease back down with a pen. But surely it's a weak point now?

I'd agree that it's a weak point now; that's why I don't take mine out of the case. The first time I took it out it was too damn hard to get the case off - just not going to mess with it anymore.

And it's not like it has a removable battery or anything.

All this bending is because phones are too large. :)

No they just didn't reinforce that specific area. It happens. I don't use a case at all, and my phone hasn't bent or anything. Hopefully this downward trend of screen sizes stops, I don't feel like going back to 5" screen, this isn't 2014
