Neat. Assuming it's legit, of course.

Re: Nexus 6P: Low-Light Camera Performance

Ya, I saw this over on reddit. All comments were praising the 6p. A few people questioned the authenticity of the photos and if the lens of the iPhone had a smudge? I was surprised most were assuming it was real. The posters story was that someone he knew that helped make/develope the phone just shipped it to him lol. Now I didn't read every comment, but no where did he mention anything else about the phone. Think you know what direction I'm leaning.

If legit, that is actually very impressive.... very. I mean, these comparisons aren't even close. The 6P is insanely better.

Looks like India doesn't follow the same embargo rules as the West, lol.

Re: Nexus 6P: Low-Light Camera Performance

I really hope the camera turns out to be as good as these samples. It's not really a big deal for me, but I root for the Nexus program and like to see it succeed. Having a good camera could bring it more mainstream.

Re: Nexus 6P: Low-Light Camera Performance

Am I missing something, how are we supposed to know which set is the 6p?

When you click on each individual picture you'll see the picture name indicate which it was taken with.

Mwahaha. Not working too.
We must DOWNLOAD the file then see the name of the file. For example "nexus1.jpg" or "sony3.jpg"

Re: Nexus 6P: Low-Light Camera Performance

who is this guy (6P vs Z5)? where did he get the 6P? this is bs.

Yeah, I'm not seeing anything either as far as which is which. All I see is @A6_

I'm assuming the Sony is those w/ blue filter that looks to be applied b/c they look bad and I doubt we'd be excited about that lol

Ah Nevermind. If you click on the info, it has the file name listed there so you can see whether it's the Nexus or Sony... and I was right in my assumption lol.

Looks good!

I don't mean to stereotype, but leakers tend to be Asians, so it's not really surprising one of them managed to get their hands on one. Huawei is a Chinese based company after all.

it's not an asian thing. it's that some random dude just labels a few pics, puts up a title and we're supposed believe it's what he says it is.
don't get me wrong, i appreciate you posting it. i mean what else are we gonna do while we wait?

I mean, if he gets his jollies off by tricking of the small percentage of people who are eager to see what this camera can do, then that would be a reason. Aside from that, what would be this guy's motivation for lying? You're right, we don't essentially know if this is true or not but there's very little to gain for lying.

Sometimes it's best to actually believe people rather than being paranoid.

Re: Nexus 6P: Low-Light Camera Performance

Holy word. I didn't expect Z5 to be that bad in low light. Z5 is the BEST camera phone to date, right?
I'm pretty surprised.

Well that's according to DxOMark (which sometimes I think is a little bias IMO), but hey we can't expect mobile phones to squeeze in sensors big enough to produce night images completely noise-free :P. That is, unless you have something like the Lumia 1020 (which is slower to shoot with) or the Panasonic phone with a 1-inch sensor. Still, both the Z5 and 6P do a pretty good job given how bright the images are.
