I mean, if he gets his jollies off by tricking of the small percentage of people who are eager to see what this camera can do, then that would be a reason. Aside from that, what would be this guy's motivation for lying? You're right, we don't essentially know if this is true or not but there's very little to gain for lying.

Sometimes it's best to actually believe people rather than being paranoid.

right. and things were so loose over at Huawei that some guy who is "close to the development" is mailing out 6P's to his buddies. i totally believe that.
anyway, the embargo's up and the camera is looking pretty good!

...... We have a local poster who gets his hands on every Moto phone before it's released b/c a buddy of his is described exactly as you said above. He has knocked out any info on every Moto device well before the public introduction. What you're mocking isn't really that uncommon. Accept it.

I've seen dozens of reviews and 6P is pretty good but still not as good as iPhone 6s.
Most reviews report losing detail in the cloud in a clear blue daylight.

Losing those clouds is a user errors. Over exposure is rather easy to fix w/ tap to focus.

I don't expect a phone to be better than the 6s either. It's cheaper and Apple has always had cameras on par w/ Sammy, another company I don't expect Google to compete w/ while creating budget conscious phones.

Thanks. Even without OIS the iPhone 6S manages to be leaps and bounds stabler than the 6P. Hopefully this is fixable by software and that Huawei and Google can get their act together to improve their video stablization/EIS in the next firmware update.

Wish Engadget had posted its original pics taken by the Note 5 and the 6P side by side for our own comparisons. There's no denying that the Note 5 is one of the very best camera phones on the market right now though.

Go to the Moto forums and ask about a local poster who has info well before anyone else does, find out that all of them will say the same poster's name, realize I'm right, and continue to disregard it b/c you're too stubborn to admit you're wrong.

This convo is going nowhere. Enjoy being paranoid b/c I don't feel the need to further this beyond this post.

yea, great tip. but i don't think i'll be doing that. anyone who followed the upcoming moto forum knows who you're talking about.
comparing the believability of someone who has proven over and over again that he has access to inside information to some guy who just labels a few photos and posts them on the internet, or to some ***** who says his buddy mailed him a 6P, is just plain lame.
but hey, if your brain tells you that kind of stuff is real, then eat it up.

I think the comparison in the youtube video was between the Nexus 5X, which does not have the electronic image stabilization (EIS) and the iPhone 6s, which does. The Nexus 6P does have EIS. Consequently, you're making an apples to oranges comparison.

Ah.. I totally missed the "5X" part of the video. Thanks for the correction. Hopefully there'll be a similar side-by-side comparison video showing the EIS of the 6P at work vs the 5X, just so that we can see how much an improvement in stability the EIS can offer.

I initially made the very same mistake, in the context of this thread it would be an easy thing to do. I too would like to see how the EIS works on the 6P as well.
