Nexus 6P in 2017?

I need a new phone badly I currently use Moto Droid Turbo and its not bad but not good. My upgrade isnt till late august so im trying to look for phones in the mean time. I only use my phone for social media, texting, music and youtube. No games. I want a clean stock android phone. Pixel is to expensive so I was looking at the Nexus 6P, how is that phone? Only problem is that it would be 2 years old with 'outdated' hardware. At Best Buy its 450. Thoughts or phone suggestions? thanks! Happy Holidays!

While the hardware may be "outdated", it's MORE than capable of what you say you plan on using it for.

The 6P is only about 15 months old. Not even a year and a half yet. I went from the 6P to the Pixel and it only feels like a slight upgrade. Not because the Pixel isn't good but because the 6P is that good.
