Nexus 6P rear Camera stretches edges of the photo..Why??

Quality and response of the camera is awesome. But, I would like to discuss the flaw in the camera. If my face is on the top and bottom edges of the camera. It is stretching my face and making me look like I am standing in front of a bad mirror. The more face is in the center, the more it is better, but if face is away from center of camera, god help you,but your face will be stretched.

Welcome to Android Central! Sounds like it might be due to barrel distortion, which can happen on wider-angle lenses. Can you show us an example?
