So I've had my 6P for about a month. When I first got it I felt like the screen had a tint to it when held at a certain angle. I felt like the whites were different more specifically. I got used to it but I looked at posts of others complaining. I set it next to my M8 both at full brighteness and was surprised to see the difference. I have linked pictures of both of them. Also, when looked at from the side there's sort of a rainbow type of color seen on the 6P whereas the M8 stays the same. Is this normal or can it be that I have a defective device? I'm worried that this might have an impact on my battery life as I only average 3-3.5 SOT even though I doubt it. Does this look normal to you guys? If not what should I do. Id appreciate any types of input, thank you!

Looking at those pics, that's a pretty extreme angle. If I hold mine at that angle, there's some color aberration like that... But they're is no issue at any realistic viewing angle though... Color, consistency, etc.

As for the M8, keep in mind that it's a LCD screen, which might explain the differences. AMOLED might act differently at that steep a view... Dunno.

That's the way AMOLED is. It's not having any undue impact on battery life, other than the usual AMOLED thing of white using more power than black (white has all pixels on, black has none). In other words, its really a non-issue.

If it's a uniform tint: don't worry about it. The problem is that many owners are experiencing color tint issues that effect only parts of the screen and that's really annoying
