I was just wondering who is excited about and anticipating the LTE version? Anyone chomping at the bit to get it, as I am?

I sure wish we would hear something about the timing of it here in the USA, other than "coming weeks"!

Re: Anticipation of LTE Version!

Me too! My T-Mobile MBB SIM is itching to find itself in a shiny new 2013 Nexus 7 LTE. I'm hoping that since they used the words "coming weeks" instead of "coming month(s)" that it will be available within 4 weeks of the wi-fi only version. If that's the case, not long to wait now.

I saw a post about a guy in China that somehow received an LTE N7 instead of a wi-fi only version, seemingly by accident.

Re: Anticipation of LTE Version!

I wonder if the issues are going to delay it. If the multi touch or GPS issues are hardware related, I could see them delaying the release.

Re: Anticipation of LTE Version!

The bad thing about T-Mobiles LTE is that the coverage is very limited. There are only two areas where I live where I can get LTE on my iPad Mini and each area covers less than a mile. Luckily, my house sits in one of those areas.

Even AT&T still has some holes where there is no LTE.

Re: Anticipation of LTE Version!

On T-Mobile it will still fall back to HSPA+ where LTE is unavailable. Not sure if it's 42 or 21 Mbps, but it's still speedy enough for me. On VZW users will be either LTE or nothing.

I'm excited for it. I already have a Wi-Fi model that will be headed to my sister once the LTE version becomes available!

Re: Anticipation of LTE Version!

I decided not to wait. I'm on Verizon and can't see paying extra when my device can't fall back to 3G. Granted 3G is awful, but its the principle for me. I can tether from a phone, using Bluetooth to save battery at the cost of LTE speed, and not pay extra monthly or up front. I was originally excited for it, but the lack of 3G just in case really ruined it for me. Such is life with CDMA. And yes while Verizon has a great LTE network, I'm on the road a lot and do see my phone fallback to 3G sometimes. Would hate to spend more on a tablet for it to still lose data occasionally. If I'm going to be forced to tether for 3G, I might as well tether always since usually Bluetooth tethering ius preferred and sufficient as long as I'm not streaming.
