Nexus 7 (2013) battery draining while asleep

See attached battery graph. This is happening almost daily. I use the tablet in the morning which takes the battery to 85-90%.Then I put it to sleep and battery stays there until midday when there is suddenly a sharp decline. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I am having the same issue with my Nexus 7. Mine does not plateau after putting to sleep, it decreases immediately. I've tried a cache partition wipe, activated battery saver and limited animations through developer settings. Nothing seems to work.
