Nexus 7 availability..

Reports are that Staples' inventory view is pretty good. A couple of people have reported buying the last one off the shelf, checking inventory shortly after their purchase, and seeing "Out of Stock".
That doesn't mean they won't sell out between your checking and your arrival at the store, but...

I was one of those who got the last one at Staples. We are slow at work, so I check Staples' inventory every hour. They happen to show "in stock" today at about 2:00 (after having no stock for a few days now), so I called right away. They had 2 left, and I was able to snag the last one about 30 minutes after I called them.
By the way, the employee at Staples had a unit to show me, and the Wifi seemed really slow. It reminded me of the iphone 3 on 3G or something. I will mainly be using the Nexus 7 at home. If mine is that slow it definitely will be going right back to the store.

I was checking all the Staples in my area, and yesterday decided I had to travel about 20 miles to pick one up (16gb) - then this morning they were listed "in stock" at my local Staples. Called, and the guy said they had just come in - couldn't hold it, but it should definitely still be there when I got there. I didn't ask how many came in the shipment, but I just checked now and they're already sold out.

It's not that slow. They probably just have a crap connection in their store.

I just picked up my 16GB a few hours ago. I was planning to go there to buy the Asus Transformer TF300, but after compared the TF300 side by side with the Nexus 7, sorry transformer.
I came from iPad, Playbook and Touchpad; the Nexus 7 blown me away. Tons of apps and it's really fast. I meant this toy is super fast and tons of FREE apps.

Bought at Staples today. I got the last one. They had two at the start of the day, and I got mine at lunch time.

I've read reports saying that they're gonna get them on Friday the 27th. I got lucky, my local Staples store said they had then in stock yesterday but we're already closed. I when I was in the store playing with it one of the sales reps came up to me to grab the little bar code thing to see if they had it in stock. I he did that right before I was gonna go up to him and ask if they had anymore. I guess someone called in and asked if they had them in stock, unfortunately for him I got the only one they had half an hour after the store opened lol.

Called Office Max and they informed me that they will have stock coming in on either Friday (27) or Monday (30). That includes 8 and 16 gb...
I purchased the last 16GB at my local Staples last night, and I did noticed that Staples website does say a few more stores in my area have them today.
I used to work at Staples and their internet connection is like 1-2 Mbps download so don't let their internet fool you...the Nexus 7 is FAST!

Just got back from my local office max. They had one 16gb left. And it is mine now. Hahaha.

Damit I want mine already. This crap city I live in has none lol I went everywhere with no luck. Had to pre-order from gamestop and I hope I get it August 8th. Might be until September though. The rep there told me August though so I don't know who to believe.
