I've had my (latest) Nexus 7 for about 3 months now, I have run through all the services and previously tested this out on AndroidBam "ROM" (I think that was it).

I go into the Apps part of the OS and disable those pesky services that refuse to stop, even after repeatedly clicking stop.
I have to say, I am impressed with the outcome of this.

About 2 weeks ago, my battery was only lasting 4 Hours, and that was with the following.
Stand by - most of the time
WiFi - Off
Bluetooth - Off
3G - Off
All Google apps enabled and nothing disabled. Out of the box style, like brand new.

-I say I tested with a ROM, because my first time optimising the lifespan of my device, I unfortunately disabled the System UI. Wont do that again.-

I have 2 screenshots, but they are not the most of it, because just recently I had a problem, (not related) that required wiping the entire thing and starting again.
The screenshots show the model and Android OS 4.3, a long with the Battery life at 66%. I have not altered these except the About Tablet one, don't know what info I shouldn't post.

It doesn't show in that, but yes the WiFi and 3G where on quite a lot of the time, I often turn off my 3G when near WiFi spots. Otherwise it would just be pointless.

If you need more proof you'll have to wait, I will put my N7 through it again and take more screenshots.
I have posted this here, because I thought it might help those who are having problems with Android Version 4.3, some say it's worse on the battery life, I say give my half an hour and I'll make it last longer.

That time of 22h 20m was only the beginning, I actually had it on for 1d 23h 45m, and that was down to 10% battery life. Like I said repeatedly, I will do it again for further proof, I am impressed with the outcome. I just wish more devices where this easy to stretch.

-------Update with full length battery will be a while, I have recently become addicted to a game on Android, that I can play for 1 hour and then Tablet needs charging. So, when complete I will redo this.-------
