I have a Nexus 7 to which I am trying to download some data from a Movie Collector App running on my Win7 PC over my home network. My Nexus is also connected to my Wifi network and connects to the internet reliably. It says I have a strong signal and is assigned IP 192.168.1.142. However the app while recognizing the device will not connect and send data. Also when I tried to Ping my Nexus
from my PC I get "Destination host unreachable". The strange thing is I have a Kindle Fire HD (also Android) and it works fine on the same network downloading data from the app.
Whats the difference between the Nexus and the Kindle?
