To me it doesn't make a difference because when not in use the cover on my folio type case is closed and I don't see it.

I didn't know you could. I am totally don't that. My wife and I both have profiles and she never clears her notifications so it is always blinking, which makes it useless.

I disabled mine, I found it was pretty useless too

Disabled. If I'm not actively using the tablet, then I rely on notifications from my phone.
