Nexus 7: Kernel android os using battery when locked

You can see these shots. Recently the battery has been dying so early, 7 hours as supposed to 24 hours previously.

Why does kernel use so much power when tablet is locked

Please guide and help

Usage % and ratio for Kernel and System activity seems about what I'd expect. No apps appear to be consuming power, so take a look at wake-locks (reported by your battery app). Might be some process you are unaware of running in background.
