Nexus 7: Replaced LCD and Digitizer...Screen Black

I recently replaced the screen/digitizer and LCD (bought seperately), but still have a black screen. The device charges and turns on (I can access hard drive via USB), but I have no picture. I have torn apart and put everything back together checking to see if I missed something or if anything is damaged. Nothing. Everything is as it should be except for that important part of being able to interact with the device. Any information or suggestions would be most helpful. I'm almost at the point of taking it somewhere (gasp!) to have it examined.

Could be a few things...


The digitizer/display could be faulty. I'm sure there is a way to test them using a multimeter to check for good current, etc. but that is out of my scope of knowledge.

Another area could be a bad/faulty wire harness connecting the digitizer/display to the motherboard.

Last thought a problem on the mother board itself in conjunction with the display/digitizer.
