nexus 7 stopped playing media

[AC Question]

Hello! My nexus 7 2012 4.4.4 has stopped playing any media! The YouTube app and music just display the 'play' icon, but when I tap it you tube and any music so immediately pause again!
I've tried installing various music apps but same result Any advice, tips? Thanks

Welcome to Android Central! Have you tried rebooting the tablet?
