Nexus 7, Torrent downloads and virus risk question

Hello

I want to start downloading movies from the Pirate Bay (using Adownloader app) directly onto my Nexus 7.

How worried should I be about viruses? Is there a good anti-virus app that I should look into?

Yeah, that helps a lot. Does the avast slow your tablet down at all?

I don't have a tablet...Will get a nexus 7 soon though! lol BUT i DO have a Galaxy Nexus and avast does NOT slow it down at all. Should be the same on the tablet.
