New to the forum...

My N7 got wet. I let it dry for 24 hours. Plugged it back in, got the "X" and battery charging icon. It charged almost 80 percent. Went to turn it on, and nothing.

Any advice?

24 hours really isn't long enough.

Others may have better advice but if it was me I'd find a tub, pour a load of rice in with the Nexus and find somewhere nice a warm. Leave it a week then try again.

Not EXACTLY relevant but a couple of years ago I knocked a glass of water over on my Fujitsu tablet PC and it stopped working so I put it aside to part out. A few months later, it worked fine after charging.

Yes, while making it dry is paramount. I discovered very simply how to start it from another site. Hold the power button in for 30 seconds. Worked liked a charm. And, again, it had very little water spilled on it, but enough. And, yes, I did open it and let it air dry in my very, very arid home...after all - it's winter. I hope this advice helps someone else.

Rice is the best bet. Whew glad I paid Walmart the extra 20 for the protection plan.
