Hello,

I have a completley stock N7, just a few months old and never had any problems, but recently, out of nowhere this happened.. So I googled and found no real solution, so I did a hard reset and after that it worked fine... For a couple of days.

Today it went off and won't boot pass the X logo again, and I barely have any apps installed, as it was resetted a few days ago...

So my question is: is there any way to permanentley stop this behaviour, because this happens totally random, at least it looks that way to me..

I mean, I still have a warranty, but I doubt they'll do something more than a hard reset..

this happened to me last night! Had to do a factory reset which is the worst. If it happens again in a few days I'm going to be very very upset. I wonder if its an update or something that downloaded?

Me to for the third time since January. And this third time is on a replacement as the first nexus went back for this prob twice. Each time I am without the tablet fora couple of weeks. I am suspicious that it is update problems, for no reason other than when we put it in for repair they always say "oh no not another one thats the 5th 6th 7th this week", but who knows, they may be saying that every week. My sons one is a month or two older than mine and he has never had a problem. None of the fixes worked each time i.e. factory reset etc. My partner reckons I use it too much LOL. When repaired before they flash the something or other. Its such a pain though to download all the apps and photos again.

I have had the same experience as sclarke624 two times. I hope I don't have to send it in a third time cause each time I've been without it for at least two weeks. Asus customer support sucks too. I hope you are able to resolve easier than I did.

I've got a feeling it will never be resolved, think it will keep happening, which could be a problem if it gets close to end of warrenty next February (new machine new warrenty)
maybe if it keeps happening it might get replaced by the new second generation Nexus 7. Its a real shame cos I really really adore my little nexus. I just wish I could get a clue as to what causes it, if it is something as simple as an app thats mucks it up or I am too whizzy playing scramble making it work too hard, I could rememdy it. Its not rooted or anything just stock.
