nexus 7?

Hows about they tweak the nose of the upstart that took over the original Nexus price point and call it the Nexus 6+1?

Whatever they call it, I just wish Google and LG (or Huawei) would come to terms about keeping the front-facing speakers on any new Nexus smartphones. Seems a shame to see them disappear just because a new corporate partner doesn't "do" front-facing speakers.

i still think google needs to remove the numbering scheme from the next nexus. obviously were not getting a 7" phone and there are already 2 tablets named the nexus 7. my hopes is if lg does make the nexus again they do not just give us a g4 with stock android. thats the lazy route moto did with the 6.

If they do it as the Nexus 7. I think thats why they stopped with the 2013 version. Probally wont be another tab version till the nexus 8 comes around. As far as screen size it will probally be a tad over 6" 6.1 or something I think. But I agree. Skip the Numbering stage and use something else Similar to HTC M7 M8 M9 but its still an HTC1 ........ Nexus X1 phone or Nexus XT Tab would be what I would name it

I never understood the naming discussions. I mean, who cares what it's called and what's the point of speculating? just my opinion.

Anyway, I'm definitely in the market for an updated Nexus 7. Just replaced my macbook with a dell xps 13 and I'd like to replace my iPad mini, but haven't yet found a tablet that competes with apple.

Also hoping for a 5.5 inch Nexus this fall. whatever it's called, and whoever makes it, just give me a decent camera and great battery. that with stock is all I'm after. don't care about speakers. would obviously prefer front facing, but I use headphones or Bluetooth speaker.

if I could create the perfect device, it's got the turbo battery, s6 camera with HTC's speakers. I'll obviously have to trade a slightly thicker bezel for that, though I wouldn't want anything close to the black bar on the m9, so maybe just one speaker. I'd actually prefer a 1080 LCD, it's good enough and I'd rather the extra battery life. add a fingerprint scanner and MOST importantly zero carrier branding and no bloat. give me the 820 processor (assuming there are no issues and it's appropriate for the device) 3 RAM (I just don't need 4) USB-C, SD card, removable battery and that KEVLAR from Moto design (why doesn't everyone use Kevlar? it's awesome) and I'd gladly shell out $800 for a device I'd probably have for 5 years!

It is kinda crazy......Had a Nexus 6, returned it because it was too big, got a Moto Maxx......3 months later decided to sell Moto Maxx and try the Nexus 6 one more time. Could not be happier with my decision. The Nexus 6 feels perfect in my hand. hmmm

I've seen the rumors of a Nexus 2015 in an LG 5.2" screen and a Huawei 5.7" screen. Doing both would be great. I'd take the 5.2.

I'm still using an original Moto x largely because of it's size. I own a Moto max, and use it to travel out of the country. And it's just too big for me. But the battery doesn't last long enough, and it's getting worse. I am going for a new phone with a big battery, lots of ram (or a large ad chip), and a similar size/shape.
