Nexus 9 and Marshmallow/ Android 6.0

Got my M update yesterday afternoon. My N9 is running buttery smooth and things are zipping. Haven't tried any of the new M features yet but I can finally say, I LOVE my tablet!

Mine is running very well, and battery life is much better. The one oddity I have is that if I restart it, there's one app that wants to optimize each time, and it takes forever (like over 5 minutes). I wish that screen told me which app it was!

My nexus 9 is lagging a lot since the update, but I'm wondering if it is because since the update I downloaded swiftkey? What do you guys and gals think?

Installed 6.0. Last week. My battery life is much better. My main concern was the screen heatup. The upgrade fixed that problem, Thank God

If you do a factory reset, that may fix sluggishness with the tablet. I did prior to receiving 6.0 and it is incredibly smooth now!

Agreed --- Chrome still causes redraws occasionally, but after 6.0 the N9 is really smooth. I noticed with doze I get battery savings galore as I often forget to plug in my N9 and when I come back now I used <1℅ battery whereas before it be dead.

Been running it for a week now. I've been getting a reboot error every now and again, and then it gets hung up on "Optimizing apps." Other than that it runs smoothly. But I'm getting sick of picking up my tablet to see it rebooting/optimizing.

I did experience another swipe to unlock and black screen. So far, it was only once but I'm keeping my eye on it. Hopefully my tablet remains good.

I've only owned my Nexus 9 for about 3 weeks so I don't have a lot of experience with it prior to the 6.0 update. The battery life seems greatly improved. It is not getting hot like it did previously and seems quick and responsive. I got a great deal on a brand new unopened unit on craigslist so I couldn't resist buying it. My other daily driver is a galaxy tab pro 8.4. I have loved loved loved that tablet and really didn't need another one. (I have about 10 total). Both the Nexus 9 and the tab pro sit on my headboard. I am finding l grab the Nexus every time and the Samsung is gathering dust. The tab pro does have a clearer sharper screen and is quite snappy but the 4:3 ratio and killer speakers on the Nexus make it my go to device now. Mine works great!

Can I ask a question? I have been wanting a nexus 9 for a while now. I've owned all HTC Phones. I currently have an old Asus Transformer Prime TF-201 that hasn't had an updates. It's running 4. something. HTC has every so often 40% off deal of the day on their Nexus 9 and I always see the email too late or miss it. But just now the white one is showing as available for 287 for 32 gigs. Should I buy it is the Nexus 9 still one of the best tablets to buy and especially in this price range. My Asus has been sluggish lately and slow. Or will a better one be out soon. I know this is 8.9 and my Asus is 10 inch but that's not a big difference. Is this a good fast tablet. My Asus is slow anymore. I saw a Nexus 10 on Amazon is that new? I would of rather had black but for $287 and 32gigs I'll take white. Is that a good deal?

Edit: Now black says it's available now it's in my cart. Trying to decide still
