Assuming the apocolypse does not occur, you'll be snacking on some skinned version of ICS in the early part of next year. Htc was one of the first OEMs to assure that ICS is coming to all of their newer devices in 2012. It's coming but their is no definitive timetable for it yet.

This is a great multimedia phone. For a music enthusiast like myself its great.

The Rezound was number 4 on the list of HTC devices that would be getting the ICS update. HTC details Ice Cream Sandwich plans for Rezound, EVO 3D, Sensation and more

The Rezound will get ics, when is the question. HTC promised gb for the tb is q2. It wasn't well into q4 that the tb got gb. So, take HTC's estimate with a grain of salt. Of course, it may come on time, just don't be surprised if it doesn't. Also, don't expect anything beyond ics on the rezound.it may or may not come. The gn will get the latest version after ics.

i think HTC is gonna speed up this time around. I dont really care about getting ICS from HTC. I just want CM9

I came from Apple and iOS and compared to that GB is a dream for me. So trust me, I have no problem waiting for ICS to come out, lol. :D

And this could be said of any of the manufacturers (for the benefit of those new to android).

Yeah, the last OTA (GB) killed my experience on the Inc. They never worked all of the bugs out and the phone is about worthless now. I may root it for the kids once I upgrade just to get back to something usable. As for ICS for the Zound, I won't be an early adopter this time around. In fact unless ICS comes with a sense update I will be content to wait until the results are in before jumping on the latest greatest.

IMO

Nothing wrong with waiting that's for sure. I had excellent battery life with iOS 5 on my iPhone 4S until I did the update that was supposed to fix the battery issues that some people were having. The battery life on my 4S wasn't the same after that. Like you, I plan on waiting to see what other user experiences are with ICS on the Rezound before going ahead with the update.

Yes, that's somewhat true, but the Nexus phones are usually the first to get the update. Samsung is usually very bad at updating, save the Nexus models.
