Here as well. Odd. First email saying it shipped came thru at 407am today. I went to try and track it a couple times this afternoon and no dice, no updates. Then I just got a My UPS alert Saying delivery tomorrow. 1 day in transit? Not bad lol.

Holding off on buying until someone can confirm it works with a case on it. If it's using magnets, they might not be strong enough with a Ballistic case on it.

I doubt it will work with that case. Most of the wireless chargers I have seen dont work with the ballistic case and those don't have magnets.

I was just about to say the same thing. I don't know how I feel about that. I'm concerned if it will still stick with a case, and the longevity of stickyness in my dusty office.

It also uses a 5v 1.8amp wall wart, stepped down to 5v 1amp in the orb. I would not plug your phone directly into the wall charger.

Currently charging on mine! Works perfectly through the poetic atmosphere case - no slippage - in fact kinda sticky on there. Fairly confident it will sit just fine on all my other cases too. It does feel pretty warm from the charging though.


Funny thing - I can elevate it about 3/4 inch away from it and it still charges.

Just set my orb up and it charges pretty well through my Cruzerlite TPU case. I am concerned about the lasting of the holding power of the sticky rings. We will see I guess, maybe just keeping it clean will help.

I had placed it more around the center of the phone and would charge then not charge, raised it up a bit and that hit the sweet spot for charging.

Mine seems to charge, as you slide the phone up and down, with the bottom of the phone sitting from about 1/4 inch to 1 inch off the desk surface. A pretty good range imo. Also charges in landscape orientation.

Also, finally I have a decent desk clock that I can see! (in daydream mode)

Looks like it might not work very well with the poetic bumper. A friend of mine has one it would keep sliding down because the sides were touching the outside of the orb and not the "sticky" stuff. It was a quick test so It works fine with my diztronic case.

Correct! The Poetic Bumper does NOT work with the Orb. The bumper raises the phone just a fraction of an inch too high for the center grippy ring to hold it in place.

I guess I'm forced note to but that bulky, overpriced official bumper...

I can hold mine about a 1/4 " above it, hovering, and it still charges. Have you tried it with the bumper? The center ring is also slightly raised vs the outer ring.

So anyone concerned that this "stickyness" will wear off? On the plus side, it can be used with all Qi devices and not just ones with magnets.

I believe the magnets are in the charger. It half way holds my sister DNA in place and it hold my old S3 in place.
