Nexus died....looking for replacement

My Nexus 7 (2013) got wet and has died a painful death. Looking for a comparable replacement... 7 inch, Android. Thinking of Samsung? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The Nexus 7 has been available recently for as long as $100. Otherwise, you'll be looking to spend about $300-$400 for a Samsung device.
