Will this device be able to do things with kit kat like the nexus 5? By that i mean being able to say ok google from the home screen or having google now on the home screen. Also the transparent buttons.

nope... you have to install nexus 5 launcher separately to make it work. None of the nexus devices got the google launcher.

I did it on my N4 and it works

bumping an old thread instead of making a new one (couldn't find any other related threads via search)

lg g pad 8.3 + google now launcher. do it. its great. if you don't have the GPE version, doing this is the next best thing you could ever do IMHO.
