i am in ny also and i have galaxy nexus verizon lte one and so far no update...
 
Location is irrelevant for updates. It doesn't matter where you are.

And to clear up something: there is no indication whatsoever that this is being distributed to any consumer devices yet. It is probably only meant for test devices, as the last step before a full OTA distribution. If the rumors are true, the fact that this is being distributed NOW bodes well for the Nexus launching tomorrow or Friday. (the rumors were that Verizon was pushing hard for this update to be approved, and once it was they would green light sales)

this is probably the likely reason release was pushed to tomorrow so this update would be ready for people upon activation.

same here how did you get ur GN early? i got mine because i had connections in radio shack lol

Most likely it is just pushing out to stores now and since the phones you have probably aren't full registered on the network yet since they were sold early, that may be why no update. I am sure there is a manual install of the update somewhere.

I would assume tomorrow it would automatically register on the network. I know before phones that people got a few days before would not have the updates waiting until the phone actually launched. Not sure if this is the case but it makes sense if none of the ones who got an early one are saying it has one.

Played with one tonight at the Verizon store in Seneca, SC, it said that an update was avialable but the battery was too low to install.
I tried to get them to sell it and run the card in the morning, no way they said to come get it at 9:00am and they have plenty in stock.
