Played with one tonight at the Verizon store in Seneca, SC, it said that an update was avialable but the battery was too low to install.
I tried to get them to sell it and run the card in the morning, no way they said to come get it at 9:00am and they have plenty in stock.

damn.. why is mine not getting the update??

did you try maybe rebooting and see if that works? Or maybe take out the sim card and put it back in? Not sure if that will help but worth a shot.

I was playing with a Galaxy Nexus at a local Verizon store today and the system update notification popped up. It was 10.7MB

Was the update for 4.0.2?

For the love of cheesecake, don't do this with a 4G phone. My understanding is that it could damage the SIM.

You're probably just not a part of the first wave of people getting the update; I'm sure it won't take more than a few days.

Folks. If you have a Nexus you got early, you will not get the OTA until tomorrow. Verizon/Google knows the ESNs of all of the demo devices and all of the test devices, and the updates are only being pushed to THOSE devices right now. Since you are running handsets that are part of the 'consumer' stock, your ESNs do not have any updates available yet.

Expect an OTA update within 2 hours

Of activation. Not sure what happens but a good heads up to keep an eye out for. My Verizon rep is going to pick the phones up at lunch and around 1 I will be a happy Nexus owner. According to my wife, the Nexus is going to own me.

Yeah I got update. Damn this thing is beautiful. A lot thinner than I expected too.
