Nexus One and Sprint

Sprint user here! I've been eligible for an upgrade since last Nov and tried the HTC Hero for a few weeks. I loved the Sense UI but felt that the processor was too sluggish so I took it back.
I've had a Centro for the last couple of years and had Palm OS phones going back to the Treo 600. I thought that my next phone was going to be the Pre, but by the time I was eligible for an upgrade, the Hero came on the scene. I then started researching Android phones and have been hooked on Android-centric sites ever since!
After reading about the other US carriers coming out with the Nexus One, Desire/Bravo, Droid, etc., I was getting discouraged about the lack of Android phones coming down the pipe from Sprint. When I read about the Supersonic coming out, possibly earlier than expected, I got very excited.
If the Nexus One were to come out and be available in store though, I will definitely check it out. I just hope we hear that they will be out soon at CTIA!

I had Sprint. My contract ended mid January though, and I didn't want any of the phones they had. So I canceled, and got the Nexus One with T-Mobile. I really liked Sprint. They just didn't have the phone that I wanted.

The Nexus One will not be available in stores. That's the whole point of what Google is doing.

Where did you hear this? Link?

I believe the OP may have read about the Nexus One coming to Sprint from the article posted in "thesearethedroids . com" submitted on 2/19/10. The entry was titled "HTC Supersonic 1H2010 ? Sprint 4G WiMAX". Sorry for not posting the link directly; I don't have enough posts to show the link

and I would get the Nexus One or the Supersonic if it were to be released for Sprint and drop the Moment in a heart beat lol.

I'll believe it when I see. That Forbes the Sprint dude was supposedly quoted in has already been denied by Sprint.

well sprint isnt gonna confirm rumors ahead of when they want to make announcements, that would defeat the purpose. hopefully we'll hear more at ctia in a month

It wasn't a rumor. The author of the Forbes article stated she interviewed Paget Alves, Sprint?s President of Business Markets. Sprint denied the that the statement was ever made.

Sprint promises 4G phones in 2010, but not by summer | Dialed In - CNET Blogs

Well it isn't an official announcement by Sprint. It was a passing statement that may or may not have been made in a telephone interview. My point was the Paget Alves clearly messed up and that Sprint has a set time when they plan to announce the device. If they are questioned about it before that time, they will deny it, something Paget apparently forgot. I don't think Sprint denying it means that the statement or rumor is false, just that it is before their official announcement.

It sounds like the Supersonic is going to be better than the Nexus One. I would like to see what that looks like. I think that thiw year will be a good year for Android devices.

End of March is unlikely, neither device has made it all the way through the FCC. Don't you think if the CDMA Nexus One was all the way through the FCC Verizon would be selling it already?

End of March maybe for an announcement though, when Dan Hesse gives his keynote at CTIA. I imagine a summer release, if they are coming. At least I'm hoping... :)

Maybe an announcement, but if you look at some of the sites posted here to justify the claims, they're using end of March as a release date. Not gonna happen.
