Is it true that all nexus phones come unlocked? As in I can take my sim card out and put in another sim card and it will work fine? I was told they do, so no need to get a unlocking fee? but wanted to check first.

Yes unless it's an older one like a galaxy nexus on Verizon it'll work just fine

You need to check it out with Google and then you could get the proper question.

Partially depends on where you bought the phone. In the UK some do come carrier SIM locked.
If purchased though Google or Huawei, they are unlocked.

Buy it from Google and it is sim unlocked. No reason to purchase a Nexus device from a carrier.

What about Canadian carriers like Bell, Rogers, and Telus... Are their Nexus phones unlocked?

That's what I'm curious about. I'm with wind mobile.

I am with Telus, and travel to the US once or twice a year. When in the US I use Roam Mobility. I have always had to get my phone unlocked. I assumed when I purchased my phone from Telus (yeah, I know) that it would be unlocked just because it is a Nexus. I guess I'll just pop in my Roam Mobility SIM tonight. If I am correct the phone should immediately prompt me for an unlock code if it is locked correct? At least that's what I think I remember my other phones working. Now if the folks on XDA can figure out the dual SIM for the 6P I will be a happy camper!
