I mean, X is just a random letter tacked on like the P. Don't be letter discriminating.

But anyways, their source also confirmed the pictures of the phones leaked earlier. I was somewhat hoping they would round out that Huawei camera bump....

Why in the world wouldn't they just do X for both?

I just think they should use the same letter as the new Android operating system for each new Nexus. So this year it would be the Nexus 5 M & 6 M. Next year it would be N & so on.

Okay, but they should class it up a touch (and geek it up at the same time) by using subscript characters to identify each device's sequence in the series:
6[SUB]M[/SUB] or 6[SUB]2[/SUB], for instance. Or maybe a lil marshmellow icon instead.

personally I don't care if they called it the Nexus Donkey, but I like your idea

I do like that they shorten it from Nexus 5 2015 and Nexus 6 2015 to Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P... but still not a fan of the letters being different.

so the 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10 in Nexus names seem to refer to their screensize.
