Nexus Player Casting broken in 6.0

Google Cast 1.16.45911 is now out. it fixed the problem for me.

Mine just started working. I didn't do anything, and I'm not sure what was done behind the scenes, but it's all good now.

There was an update to Google Cast. Your device must have updated automatically.

Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. It's very inconsistent and also very annoying. I shouldn't have to fiddle with it so much. It should just work.

I'm still experiencing this and it's driving me mad! Anybody else still not able to cast from Android phone to nexus player. I've tried resetting the Nexus player and updating the cast receiver app, no luck!

I am having the exact same issue. Have tried ALL the suggested fixes with no joy. Have configured my router, deleted the updates, reinstalled the updates, reset the player and still the same bloody issue. Basically, I think I have been royally ripped off by Google and Acer with this product due to poor implementation as this is the main reason I bought the bloody thing. Complete waste of money.

I have my dongle connected to my
TV, TV WiFi net work is the same as my phone yet Google cast app on my phone wont find my TV device to connect?

Any suggestions?

Sure, it works from PC, but does not work from phone.
