Just bought (and loving) a Nexus S on Sprint. I added dark SMS/MMS, dark Facebook and dark Twitter....but haven't been able to download the dark Gmail apk. I have it, but it will not install.

Any help?

The dark look is incredible on this phone. Also added UberMusic....awesome look and feel.

Are you getting FC's or won't install error, what is it your getting?

It could be due to the fact that the GMAIL your trying to install is older than the version currently in your device and that is why its stopping it from installing. You may try deleting out the Gmail.apk in your /system/app/ directory using ES File Explorer (free) or Root Explorer(paid) from the Market then try installing the dark Gmail app you downloaded either via flashing in CWM or just drop the Gmail.apk in your /system/app directory.

I thought I had replied to this topic yesterday. I was thinking similar that Gmail was not installing as your installing over an app that is undeletable when not rooted and to delete it isn't as simple as having authority to do so right over the regular system; where, you would need SU access to go in and delete it first.

Yeah you need to at the very least uninstall any updates to the core Gmail app. Even better if you uninstall it completely through one of the methods above (if rooted).
