Nexus with Jelly Bean or GS3 with ICS?

My primary phone is a Droid Razr but I pre-ordered the S3. I too am debating whether a GNex on JB is a better choice. My main reason for the pre-order was to keep unlimited data on my line. Now that the 28th has passed my best option seems to be to check out the S3 for 14 days and return it (pay restocking fee) for a GNex if I don't like it. I believe since I would be doing an exchange that I would still be able to keep my current plan. I'd have to check that out.

I don't think that's true because you need to sign a new contract with the new device

I planned on giving my wife my Nexus when our S3 arrives. (Used upgrade before unlimited expires.)

After using JB, it will be hard to give up. That said, I wouldn't recommend canceling your GS3 order. Samsung has been great about releasing their source codes to the Community and all S3s are already rooted. This phone will have more dev support than anything else, with the possible exception of the Nexus. I would expect good custom ROMs very soon after the release of JB AOSP in a couple weeks.
