My wife and I both have Nexus 4s. I was trying to use the NFC beam to transfer a photo from her phone to mine, but it won't work. We touch them together and both phones recognize the other and bring up the beam option. I choose to beam from her phone to mine, and my phone indicates there is an incoming beam. Then It just sits there trying for 20-30 seconds and then says it failed. We've also got them bluetooth paired together, so I tried to use bluetooth to send the file from hers to mine instead. The bluetooth transfer fails instantly.
If I try to do it the opposite direction (send from mine to hers), both the NFC beam and the bluetooth transfer work perfectly.
Anyone have an explanation for this? Both phones are identical... both 16GB nexus 4 ordered and shipped together, both have android 4.2.1, both are using the gallery app to send the file, both are attempting to send photos taken by the default camera app.
