Does anyone have a night clock app that doesn't suck your battery? I had one that I really enjoyed in the past but it seems to to make the battery drop down significantly versus when I don't use that app. I like to have a nice large clock that fills the screen so I can easily see the time when I want to check it at night.

I know it was the app because when I'm not using it it has great battery life. Plus the phone is pretty new.

AOD works well for this.

I like aod but it doesn't have a nice big clock like the night clocks. The one I liked had a low light red clock that filled the screen in landscape mode, black background.
1. Nightclock right in the middle all night is a good way to get burned in screen. That's the reason why AOD isn't always in the middle and moves around.

2. You can change the colors and type of clock on the AOD. If you want a red clock you can have a red clock.

3. The upside with AOD is it will use less battery than anything you find on the store. The bad side is that it doesn't do landscape.

Too bad AOD doesn't have a larger clock. A few are decent but it was nice how the night clock looked. I do like how it uses much less battery than the night app.

try gentle alarm on play store. it does what you needed

Beat me to it. It's also a great alarm, one of the better ones. But make sure you set it for anti screen burn.

thanks, i was not aware of the 'anti screen burn' option.

btw, i select the 'anti screen burn' and i notice it shifts ever so slightly.

That's the point. Screen burn happens if the image is static for a long period of time. So it moves every now and then so that different parts of the screen is lit up and none for a very extended time.
