Anyone had issues with bright lights at night flaring on their S10 and gotten it fixed? I'm a professional photographer so I know the normal tricks to clean the lens, etc. This started about a month ago for me and I know it shouldn't be doing it because my husband's phone I can take the same pics on and it doesn't. See the lines on the bright parts? Does it on any light at night.

Any condensation on the inside of the camera glass? Did this seem to coincide with an update to the Camera app or the system?

It did not it happened randomly thought it was dirty. Cleaned it throughly and it's still happening. Lens looks clear, no scratches, no condensation, nothing.

This was on auto mode no flash ? I can try take a picture in the condition you did and see if same

Yes it is. I know it's mine specifically. I grabbed my husband's right after and his are clear.

Same thing has been happening inside and outdoors at night too. I deleted those pics thinking it was dirty or I'd share those too.

This probably doesn't matter, but just thought I'd suggest it -- if your phone has a case on, take it off, just in case something reflective on the case near the camera lens is causing some glare.

Good thought but I've had the case longer than the issue :(

Hmm. Maybe there are some microscratches that aren't plainly visible on visual inspection? Could someone have wiped the glass with a paper napkin or something relatively abrasive?

I've tried looking all over and definitely not I always am careful!

So I did a test with my s10+ with my iPhone flash light on and looks to do same as yours 20190705_174131.jpeg

I'll have to do another inside at night. It's doing it on pics it def shouldn't I just didn't keep those bc I thought it was a fluke.
