https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s10_plus_long_term-review-1963p5.phpSo has it improved since launch to rival the pixel?
I thought for the most part it allowed you to set it manually as opposed to letting the camera decide when to activate it. I haven't seen a big improvement. It's not bad but it's no Pixel.....at least not in almost total darkness. So has it improved since launch to rival the pixel?

Well I have both phones and the Pixel isn't just better in low light. The S10 certainly has more features, so one could easily argue that it's more versatile. The bottom line for determining which takes better pictures is that it depends on what you like in terms of exposure, color saturation, and dynamic range, which is all about processing. I don't find the S10 bad at all, just different. Many though end up installing the Gcam app to try to get results similar to Pixel so that should tell you something. In the end all of the top are pretty close and it's mostly about preference. It’s meant to be slightly better...although the main improvement here is that you can toggle it manually. I think that the improvement (photo quality) is noticeable but not as good as Night Sight or Huawei’s night mode.
Though since everyone is saying it’s not as good as the Pixel...I (respectfully) can’t believe there are some people who insist that the Pixel 3 is a better camera phone. Idk about everyone else but I’d much rather have a wide angle and telephoto lens (the latter with OIS) in addition to a great main camera instead of having slightly better low light photography.
I think only phone can rival the pixel in night shot is Huawei , it's that good on the pixel .Well I have both phones and the Pixel isn't just better in low light. The S10 doesn't do as well in situations with very minimal ambient light based my results. The new night mode definitely rivals the Pixel. It's a little slower at processing vs the pixel but it some cases colors come out better on the S10.
From the comparisons I've done with both, I think the S10 does really well. In most cases I like the colors that come out from the S10 night mode better. The S10 doesn't do as well in situations with very minimal ambient light based my results.
