Check my posts in the camera thread.. with the right settings I am achieving amazing results with gcam.

Can you link to those settings I can't find them. All I get with night site is a photo that is worse than what I see on the viewfinder and it's all greenish.

Sounds like you missed the same step I did at the end, if you look at the photo I posted it was all green and messed up.

Open the camera app settings and select advanced under quick settings. Scroll to bottom click fix, viewfinder format should be yuv_420_888

Living room at night with Nite Site, the only light I had on was the small one above my stove so the room was nearly pitch black, phone on a tripod.

This is from Samsungs camera app using manual controls, same light condition, taken only seconds later on the same tripod.

Sorry for multiple posts but for some reason I can't get the forum to include more than one photo in a single post.

My above photos, the manual control looks better so I'm going to explain why that is and why I will be using both camera apps from now on.

On manual I set the exposure to 10 seconds with an ISO of 800, that is the max Samsung allows in manual(auto allows 2000).

With night site the phone didn't recognize the tripod at all and exposed the same as handheld. We all know it takes multiple exposures and stitches them together like HDR+. Problem is it jacked the ISO to 11240 introducing more noise than it could eliminate, but had an extremely quicker exposure of .3 seconds.

Basically if you are planning to shoot some stuff that will remain still bring a tripod and shoot manual. For your average user or average situation where you just want to snap a quick pic night site works great.

Follow the instructions exactly. Looks like you missed a step under the fix section.

Thank you for posting this. I had the problem of all my pics being tinted green. Went back to the original post and reread the instructions and I missed a couple of steps. Works great now!

You're absolutely right. I missed that and now it's working fine. Thanks for your help.

This added functionality is great. I think I need to tweak my settings a touch as i still have a slight green hue as compared to my wife's pixel3. But overall even if I can't get it any better I am still glad for this option. Now I hope it doesnt change once big red drops pie!
