I had O but was waiting on Q as I didn't want to side load. Downloaded U last night. Haven't tested it out but will tell you the zero bars issue is gone. I get slightly better signal at work.

At home at my highest I was at about -110-112 dbm. As of now I am at about -105dbm at home. Not super great but if I can hang onto a signal without Wi-Fi calling I'll take it

*Update* My signal seems to even be improving a little more from last night. For the past 3 hours I have been home from work it is hovering between -97dBm and -100dBm and is pretty steady between those numbers. I have never seen that on this phone for me

My signal is usable some of the time. I don't know that it was this security update that changed anything. I can use lte off and on. Since I can use wi-fi off and on too, I am making do.

I don't see a complete changelog anywhere, so I'll have to report back once I find that or something worth sharing. As far as "u" and "v" updates I was under the impression that v = Verizon; however, looking on Google's factory image page the v appears to be for Europe/O2 devices: 7.1.1 (NMF26V, Jan 2017, Europe/O2)

U is for all devices outside Europe, even Verizon. V is not for Verizon.

You get better signal than I do at home. -100dBm is the best I get with the leaves off the trees.

I get around 100 to 110 at home on T-Mobile but that works fine for VoLTE calls. I just use wifi calling now though .. figure why not ?

Got the "U" variant also. Took about 15 minutes to install.
