no $25 google play credit for Gamestop orders

The staples help center told me as long as you order before 7/15 you get the play credit and bonus material on activation.

ok...I'm blind. Can someone quote the section of the press release that says it's included? I searched for "$25" and "credit" w/ the web browser and saw nothing.
And it's not mentioned on the Details page here: Google ™ Nexus 7 16 GB from (Pre-Order Only) for Android | GameStop which is why I emailed them in the first place.

And FWIW, I added a comment to the Gamestop page that said I was told by the web site's CS (quoted that message I posted) that the credit was not included, but the comment magically disappeared.
And I gave them multiple changes to correct me. I told them it was confusing because one of the comments on their web site said it was included. I told them I was cancelling it because it wasn't and asked them to cancel my preorder (they told me to go to the store).

At least Staples' web site mentions it so I'll just preorder from them or just get it from B&H.

p.s., the specific question I emailed them was "Question on the Nexus 7 preorder: does it include the $25 Google Play credit? "
I thought it was a fairly clear/direct question. It didn't say "will gamestop give me the credit". They should have clarified w/ Google if it's part of a Google account thing, so I agree Google should be clarifying this as well.

Anyways, it's a PSA. If anyone has preordered it at Gamestop, I'd ask for written clarification...

Dude we work FOR Gamestop. We HAVE to know this stuff to get pre orders. Go pre order somewhere else if it bothers your that much. You get the credit from activating your tablet. We don't give you a a special code and walaah you get the credit.

EDIT: there's your written clarification.

You should have said that you work for Gamestop in the first place. :p

And IMHO you should be directing your anger at Ebbo and your web site CS instead. Like I said, I gave them plenty of space to clarify and I'm sure my emails ended up being replied by *multiple* people at Gamestop web site CS besides Ebbo. Gamestop has my contact info and could have replied to me after this thread to clarify things too.
This was *NOT* intended to be Gamestop bashing on my part. It was just turned into that kind of thread :D

p.s., and it's "voila"...

Kenny don't blame Gamestop telling you the proper information. They are not giving you directly the credit. Use your brain and read the post that precede this one.

Why would anyone still buy anything from the crooks at gamestop????
Oh well. Good luck, still early enough to cancel and place the order through Play.

Why would anyone take advice from someone who can't read a forum before posting a response?

And I am surprised you can't read 2 previous posts I said on this matter. If you pre-order the device from Gamestop, Staples or Best Buy you still get the $25 credit. Because as soon as you activate your device and access the Play Store on the device the credit activates.

Yes the sellers don't give you the credit no matter where you buy it as soon as you activate it Google they credit you thru the playstore . I got mine at gamestop because i had a ps vita laying around so i traded it in and ordered the 7

You 100% get the $25 credit from preordering from GameStop. It was in my email, and the credit was in my play store balance.

Odd, I got a credit when I bought mine from Sam's Club when I activated the device. Unless they are specifically sending stock to Gamestop that doesn't have the credit. you should get it when you set it up...

This thread was created before GameStop started selling Nexus 7's. I'm going to lock it up before it creates any confusion.
