No 4G, $800 Pricetag, Activation Required, No Flash: Is the wait boat getting to big?

I think the Xoom has the potential to be a very good tab. But it isn't there and isn't going to be there at launch. Considering it's being marketed and priced as a high end tablet, I think it's absurd it's not coming standard with some things. You can guarantee with this being the first HC tab, it's going to have a few bugs as well on the firmware side.

Bottom line is Moto is too concerned with getting some part of this market share & they're rushing this product out. Only time will tell if it's going to bite them in the arse. Google should put their foot down, or maybe they tried. I don't know.
Great post!

This is where you are wrong. 3 weeks ago I was 90% buying at launch, 2 Weeks ago 40%, last week 1%. But I had always planned on buying in a couple months. I still will most likely, but I will wait for the features and price I want. I am guessing late May early June, unless something else is looking good.

Not sure why this is so hard for some people to understand.
If the past 3 weeks somehow dropped your intentions of buying a XOOM that much, then you were really never at 90%. I was at 100% three weeks ago, and the hands-on videos from the Honeycomb event and MWC made me want it even more.

What I don't understand is why someone would wait a few months for something, on the off chance that it will be at a lower price by then. Which, by the way, is highly unlikely given the fact that the competition is going to be priced about the same anyway. If you're waiting for the Wi-Fi only version, that's one thing, but my guess still puts that launch somewhere in the July-September range.

Whatever, it's irrelevant to me anyway, I'll have my XOOM in 61 hours.

Sure I was. From the info we had at the time when we first saw it to what is actually being delivered is differant. HAd we gotten the product that was shown, even after the price, I would probably be 50-50.

It is not just the price, it is having the features that were expected. If the deliver what they promise I will most likely buy. Chances are by the time they get around to delivering them the price will be better.

Exactly. And I hope you enjoy it!
