Hello,

I bought an unlocked SM-920F Galaxy S6. In the settings -> wifi -> more I dont see any 'advance' option and hence can not switch on notification when there is a wifi network available. All the submenus there are : Add network, WPS push button, WPS PIN entry, Smart network switch, Keep wi-fi on during sleep, Always allow scanning, Install network certificates. Am I missing something ? Where do I get the wi-fi notification settings ?

Hey in Lollipop, TouchWiz, Samsung moved the advanced tab to the 3 vertical dots on top right next to the search setting icons click the 3 dots and you will see the advanced WiFi settings options. So click the 3 vertical dots while you are in the WiFi connections tab.hope this helps

Thanks fir your reply. There are no vertical dots at the wi-fi connections tab. The wi-fi connection tab in my Galaxy S6 looks like the attached image (taken from net) Only except I see only first 4 sub menus (Add network, WPS push button, WPS PIN entry, Smart network switch) and then I see 3 more sub menus: Keep wi-fi on during sleep, Always allow scanning, Install network certificates. But don't know how to access the other options under the Advanced sub menu.

Hi,

I had the same problem as you and I just found a solution, rather than an advanced tab, Hold down on the wireless network you are connected to until the option modify network comes up, then "Show advanced options". This solved my issues hope it helps you too

Hi,

I do have the exact same problem with same options in Wifi Plus menu (top right... instead of 3 dots)
I can't see "Advanced".

I tried above trick from Nick Sanders2 but did not help.
When holding down current wifi network, I only get the options "Forget Network" or "Manage Network Parameters" (where I only get DHCP, Proxy settings)

Any other idea?

This is pretty annoying as I cannot stop my phone popping-up connection/login portals of reachable public networks... I cannot move without getting tons of such windows poping up (I'm leaving in a large city with Wifi everywhere).

As I cannot see "Wifi Notifications" or "Passport" options, I can't do much... or is there an application out there that can help (without Root)

+1 with the same issue.

When on the WIFI main screen, the "More" menu does not contain the "Advanced" sub-menu.
Find below a screenshot of my wifi main screen. I am running v5.1.1 on a Samsung S6 Edge.

Solution provided by Nick gave me the same result as Queviko.

Any serious solution would be greatly appreciated.

Everything under advanced is now under the more button.

OK, I think I have the solution - go to settings / WiFi and press the MENU button (not three dots or anything) - the menu button is the one UNDER the LED screen - the left hand one of the three where the right hand one is the return button.
THEN a menu comes up at the bottom of the the screen with "Add network", "Saved networks", "Refresh" AND... "Advanced" !!
Select this last option and you can adjust options such as Network notification and turn that annoying feature off!

Did anyone find a solution to that? I can't seem to find anything about it and it's strange.

Unfortunately I'm 3 years late and have no advice on the issue. I am curious how you got your wifi name to be the picture. My router says, "The SSID should be printable characters." I tried to use -> (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
