No alerts on Lock screen

I'm sure its something simple I'm not checking off in Settings but I'm not getting any aletst on my lock screen. Is that an option on S5??

If by alert you mean notifications and you have some kind of security to unlock, for some reasons Samsung disabled the Lockscreen widgets and Notifications are kind of a mess, just download C locker from the Store, the free version does a lot of tricks and customization but for a couple of dollars you have full notifications and all possible widgets to add to the Lockscreen. One of the few apps I've ever bought.

Yeah C Locker is excellent. I use Locker Master because I like the themes. Any good addon locker will allow you to put all sorts of stuff on the lock screen.
