No App found to open URL fix?

I can launch Google search on my Moto G 5.0.2 When I hi the link then I get
No app found to open URL ??? This has happened since I system updated. I have performed and cleared out the cache today and still doesnt work
How do I fix this??

Welcome to Android Central! Which browsers do you have on the phone?

Try going to Settings>Apps​, tap Menu, and Reset All App Preferences. Now try again.

Thank you B. Diddy for your helpful suggestion. On my S6 edge I for some reason could not install any newer programs, and when I tried to install an update to Google Now, I got the message as the OP. I went under settings and device, and at the bottom of the list was applications. When I clicked on that I came to the application manager and default applications, there was also a list of some of the major apps that you would use. I went through each one and found out that the "Google Play" store app was disabled?? I must have done it to save some battery or RAM over the last week. As soon as I clicked that about 28 applications started updating and three which I had previously uninstalled reinstalled.

But because of you, it led to an easy fix. Thank you!

Browser Disabled? That was my problem.
