Yesterday, I realized that no audio was working on my phone. No video, Instagram audio, Pandora, alarm clocks, ringtones, messaging tones, nothing works. I restarted my phone a few times last night, cleared the cache on a number of apps, cleaned out the audio input to remove any dust, and the sound finally started working. Today, the same thing happened, except now it's effecting my phone calls. When I call someone, the call appears to go through, but I can't hear anyone and the person I am calling can't hear me. So there is no sound at all. I've restarted the phone numerous times, cleared the cache on the device, and done virtually everything short of doing a factory reset. When I play a video and put the speaker up to my ear, it makes a slight noise, sort of like a white noise, so it sounds like the speaker still works, but nothing comes out of it. All volume settings are turned up, the blocking mode is off, and 'turn off all sounds' is not checked.I am using Android version 4.1.2. If anyone has any insight on how to fix this, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!

This sounds like it's a hardware issue. However, we can try one thing; clearing cache in recovery. Here is how: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...ing-into-recovery-mode-galaxy-s2-s3-tab2.html
