No Audio When Playing Video Received via Facebook Messenger

Hey guys!

Back to Samsung with the new Galaxy S8! I've had the G4 which was awesome. Moved to LG which was pretty much fried after 1.5 years.

I'm overall very happy with the device, but... I cannot for the life of me get audio from my messenger app.
Unlike other complaints I've seen online - my sound doesn't cutout, nor do I have any audio issues with other apps (youtube, etc..). There's just NO sound on video messages I send/receive on FB messenger.
I tried un/reinstalling the app to no successs.

Can anyone please give me a hand here? This issue is a major bummer, if I can't get it fixed ill probably go have my phone replaced and get some other model/brand..

I have been having the same problem for at least a month. It's driving me crazy. I don't know if it's a Messenger issue or a Galaxy S8 issue. Can't find any fix for this.
