It's a very rare occasion and I'm not sure why it happens. My phone is sat face-up on a surface and it's not showing the clock. I touch the screen - which normally wakes it up or it asks me to unlock it if it's been sat there long enough and properly fallen asleep. In this case it had been there just a few minutes, which is not long enough for it to need a code to enter it. Multiple touches on the screen yielded nothing. But one quick touch on the power button and it woke right up and didn't need unlocking. I then press the power button briefly again to let it slumber again and it's showing the clock now.
It left me wondering ... why had it decided to not show the clock. Like my other post today, this isn't something that happens very often and it equally isn't a great hardship in the grand scheme of things but I can't leave such a question in my mind - it has to come out via my fingers into a thread post to see if others know what the deal is.
