Guys and Gals, I finally turned in all the iPhones in my household in exchange for one Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and two galaxy S8's. Was this a mistake? I ask this because for two weeks now I have been unable to fully load my iCal and exchange photos and videos between my iMac and my Galaxy Note 8. It's frustrating as hell. What is the comprehensive solution so I can keep both my iMac and my new phones?

I thank you. I've tried to use Smart Switch. I've tried to use AirDroid. Neither has worked such that my iCal events all appear and are shared between my iMac and Galaxy Note 8. I NEED IT ALL TO SYNC UP AND STAY SYNCED!

Do you use Gmail? Import your iCal into Gmail via the web and it should show up in your calendar.

Photos and videos are handled via Google's Photos app. Then you can access them via Google Drive from your Mac. Either through web based or the Google Drive app for Mac.

I use an app called sync for icloud calendar. It works perfectly, allowing 2 way sync.

On your Mac go to System Preferences -> Internet Accounts ensure that your gmail account is there and has "Calendars" option enabled. Your gmail calendar will show up in iCal on your Mac. The changes made in either iCal or your phone will appear in the other.
