No disable button for Kia Access app?

I have the Kia Access app on my A13 and would like to disable it (not uninstall.) I only want the app to be active when I want to use it. But when going to the app in settings, there is no disable button...just Open/Uninstall/Force stop. Perhaps, someone here can set me on the right path. Thanks.

The 'Disable' option is only for stock apps. To keep an app from running unless you're using it, you have to restrict its background use and, if the phone supports it, allow temporary archiving (which basically also pauses updates after a period of inactivity until you open the app again).

Thanks for explaining why there was no disable button available. As for archiving, which looks like the way to go, I wonder if you could give me a tip or two on how to do this on the A13.

Not sure on the A13 as I don't have one, but if you have the option to Archive apps, it would show up right next to the Uninstall button in the app's info screen. If that option is not available, the only way to do this is to allow the system to handle that itself. Go to Device Care in your Settings, find the Battery section and there go into Background usage limits and either put the app in the Sleeping or Deep Sleeping section (the latter auto-archives apps you don't use for a long time, but re-enables them automatically if you open them again; just bear in mind that if it's been a while, the app may not work until it updates first).

Option is not available. This was a nit-picking issue of not much importance, so I'll let it ride. But, nonetheless, thanks for the education.
