I wouldn't expect ear buds when the Google store doesn't list them in the in box info.
And why get upset because they didn't include $2 earbuds?

Apple doesn't provide actually useful cables.
I am not sure what you mean. The iPhone comes with a USB to lightning cable which you can use to charge or sync with the computer .
Hah yeh we get royally screwed with pricing of goods, even after the conversion rate.
I agree, I'd much rather pay the $650 or $700 or whatever US Price and not have earphones.
And pixel comes with a c-a a c-a and a c otg. Way more useful than a lightning cable.
I would have thought for over $800 I would have received some ear buds.
The last phone i purchased that came with earbuds was the iphone 4S. Outside of that none of my phones have come with them. All of my phones have been flagship devices(Note 5, LG G2, LG G3, MOTO Droid RAZR MAXX) outside of the Nexus 5X. This led me to start purchasing "premium" earbuds and headphones and leaves me with the very subjective opinion of included earbud as "nice to haves." Because it sure would be nice to have a headset other than my $100+ headsets to leave in the car.
I think you meant to say c-c, but anyway in relation to the iPhone, a lightning to lightning cable would be pretty useless. A c-c is needed on the pixel to get pd. Also a c otg is included to make it easier to transfer data from your old device. On the iPhone, this isn't needed because they use other methods to transfer data from the old device.
Galaxy S phones have typically come with decent (for free) earbuds. I'm still using the ones with my wife's old GS5.
I would appreciated new ear buds with my Pixel XL, especially for the price. Someone mentioned the Day Dream VR set, which is nice, definitely, but it's only applied to pre-orders. Those who buy post-launch pay the same price and receive no free VR. So something in the box besides a charger and two cables would have been nice for the price.
